2007-pressent School Counselor, Louisa County Middle School, Louisa, VA. Provide academic, career, and social/personal counseling and guidance to students.
2006-2007 Assistant Youth Counselor, Teens Give-Community Attention, Department of Social Services, Charlottesville, VA. Provided counseling and educational services to at-risk youth to help teens develop healthy social interaction skills and anger management strategies. Responsible for organizing and updating client files for foster children and families.
2007 Graduated Assistant, Career Services- Curry School of Education, University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA. Assisted career services counselor in planning and running the Educators Expo event which included recruiters from over 50 school divisions across the U.S.
2006 ABA Home Therapist, Center for Autism and Related Disorders, Annandale, VA. Trained in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Provided academic home schooling for a non-verbal child with Autism.
2005-2006 America Reads Tutor, Venable Elementary School, Charlottesville, VA. Collaborated with a reading specialist to provide extra help to students who struggle to pass SOL’s and meet grade level standards in learning achievement.
